Our little boy is 15 months! I can't believe how fast time has gone by. I always have heard parents say that, but am now starting to appreciate it. Jackson is running and climbing on everything. That includes climbing up the slide, climbing off our big bed, and climbing up and standing on the coffee table. I am seeing a trip to the ER in our future. He is a picky eater. Surprise, surprise...a little boy who won't eat vegetables. He loves fruit, cheese and crackers. Our little man is very social, but is just starting to have some separation anxiety. He blows kisses, gives kisses and hugs, waves hi and bye, and plays peek-a-boo. He loves other children and teenagers. Wrestling and giving zerberts are so much fun now. Jack is able to eat with a spoon and fork and stack three blocks. The future athlete loves to throw and kick balls and hit a ball off a tee with a bat. Grandpa is working on his dribbling skills, while Daddy is concentrating on his swing. He can follow commands really well! He was able to follow "Go push your bear's hand." when the bear was across the room to make it talk. He can hand you items if you ask for them if he wants to, but you better be paying attention. He gave me a bad bruise on my chin when he threw a remote control at me when I wasn't looking. He has a good vocabulary and combined two words last month. He said "more cracker" in the car and I about ran off the road. He is officially talking more than the majority of my class at school. Here is a list of the words he has said:
ball, car, turtle, doggie, cow, bird, duck, fish, frog, quack, moo, baa, meow, go go go, bye, Mama, Daddy, Ba (grandpa), Mom-Mom( grandma), nana (banana), Nana, PawPaw, more, finished, all done, cracker, cheese, wawa(water), hot, cold, cool, awesome!, wow!, NO -this is his favorite word now, cookie, pool, bat, side(outside), Ses(Sesame Street), boat, balloon, shoe, sock, shirt, up, down, bubble, Bible, broom, choo-choo, cake, yum, uh-oh, nose, toes, hat, off, yuck, spoon, broom, sit, baby
I'm sure there are a few more that I can't remember off the top of my head. Please keep in mind that as the speech therapist, I give him credit for approximations and partial words when others would not. He signs milk, all done, more, fish, and please. He loves to smell flowers and have you sniff them too. He also blows on his food, but can't blow a bubble yet. Jack loves books! He can point to and label balloons in books. We think that we have the best little boy and are so blessed to have Jackson in our lives.

Way to go Jackson! Emily's speech therapist counts signing as words too so he has some extraordinary verbal skills! Emily has four words... so we need to pick up the pace if we want to catch up with you guys, but we just might be left in the dust on this one! 15 months is fun! Yea Jack!! You're doing great buddy!
